When he first heard the music of the Balkans, the Klezmer, violins and gypsy voices, DJ Gaetano Fabri was probably unaware of how this fateful encounter was going to change his life. Now, this jazz-mad percussionist from Brussels has made this sound his very own at the turntable. He regularly hosts dance nights all over Europe that are entirely devoted to the edgiest Balkan music.
BALKAN HOTSTEPPERS SOUND SYSTEM
The four-hand mixes of BHSS combine a love of gypsy music with bloc party culture, the result is a bit like if Shantel were to appear on stage with the Beastie Boys!
