Traditional music isn't what it used to be. It is now free to take on new guises, and indulge in unusual 
escapades, digressions and caprices. A bubbling troupe of musicians who got together in Budapest at the end of the 1990s, Besh O Drom explode all the clichés about Balkan dance music. Their unique style is a stimulating cocktail of gypsy characters and eastern reminiscences, jazzy flights, funky chaotic energy and heady improvisations, which readily embraces Hungarian, Romanian and Bulgarian traditions.
