The Serbian Frank Zappa, the Captain Beefheart of the Balkans? His fans who dared to make the comparison were not completely beside the point. The genius of Rambo Amadeus definitely has something in common with these two phenomena of Planet Rock: an innovative, iconoclastic spirit, an almost obsessive desire to cover his musical tracks, and the use of irony and parody. Impossible to classify, atypical, this other Amadeus is a musical UFO who is as invigorating as an ice-cold mountain spring.
